Connecting Gaza's students with new educational opportunities

We are a volunteer network of school counselors and university admissions professionals who are finding solutions for Gazan students whose university education has been disrupted due to the ongoing war in Gaza.

Our Story
The Gazan Student Support Network (GSSN) was established in January 2024 as the world witnessed the devastation of Gaza, in particular its education system. High school counselors and university admissions professionals banded together as a crisis response team to offer pro bono support for Gazan students hoping to continue their education abroad.

Accessibility

We work with partner organizations to lower the costs of applying abroad and to support students with incomplete records due to displacement and destruction of schools.

Advocacy

We work to educate universities and partner organizations about the unique admissions-related challenges facing Gazan students who are living through armed conflict.

Counseling Program

Our counselors guide students through the university admissions process and help them locate funding opportunities.
